Starbuzz, a tabloid format newspaper, will be published quarterly and 10 000 copies will be distributed free of charge to leading South African high schools.

“We wanted Machete to create a visual style that would appeal to the kids – cool, trendy and hip, but still reflecting the professionalism of the AFDA brand,” said Marketing Director Teresa Passchier. “We’re very happy with the result, and initial indications are that is has been very well received by the students.”

Advertisers who want a targeted print medium to reach the top echelon of South African school-goers should contact Teresa on 011 482 8345.
