Many MacheteMail clients seem unaware that this is one of only systems available that allows users to send both emails and SMS text messages, from the same web-based interface, to the same database of subscribers.

Email and SMS are two platforms that work exceptionally well together. The visual richness of email creates awareness and excitement, while the immediacy of SMS is perfect as a reminder or a quick call to action.

In a major new improvement to the system, SMS subscribers can now reply directly to a mobile number specified by you! This makes the MacheteMail mobile marketing tool more powerful by allowing you to receive direct responses from your SMS subscribers to your mobile phone.

Up until now, mobile campaigns were sent from a default number. Now however you can send your campaigns from a number that YOU specify, enabling direct and personal responses from each subscriber.

This new function is called SMS Sender ID. To enable it and insert a specified Sender ID, click on the SMS/TEXTING button at the top of the page, then on Setup & Options, then on SMS Setup & Options. All you need to do is enter the mobile number you wish to send your SMSs from and input the verfication code that we will text to you. If you do encounter any problems, it may be because your network does not support Sender ID – please check this first with your service provider.

Sender ID is a fantastic new feature that will give flexibility and interactivity to your mobile marketing campaigns!
